Well, okay, I say it's Bob's birthday and thus far it has been pretty sweet for him. I made him his favorite breakfast, waffles. (Plain waffles, I offered to add chocolate chips and he said no. What is wrong with that kid?) He ate his waffle plain, no butter (because it is gross unless it is on a few select foods--which are whatever foods he selects that particular day) and no syrup (because it would make him sticky--his words not mine).
He and his friend, McH, have been having a blast. We went and dropped some cupcakes off to K1 and K2 at my office (okay, I made K2 come down to my car and get them because I didn't want the cream cheese frosting to melt while we visited PE's work). We took cupcakes to PE's work to share with the counter and kitchen ladies--they all love to see Bob (and me). Joni (Bob's favorite) spoiled Bob and McH with treats and gave Bob $5 to take to the dollar store. We stopped on the way home and he purchased 6 (I threw in $1) Power Ranger type guys (one of each color).
Now he and McH are playing and watching a movie. Good times.
Nana will be joining us tonight for Bob's dinner and I will be serving a Crock-Pot Rotisserie Chicken and Ham Fried Rice (strange pairing but both Bob's favorites). To round it out a bit I am also serving Steamed Broccoli with Lime Dressing (Bob will not be required to eat any since it is his birthday). Then to finish off the evening I will serve a Fluffy Yellow Layer Cake (woo hoo the middle didn't drop) with Easy Vanilla Buttercream Frosting colored blue.
After things calm down again later, I will post some recipes (hopefully).
